in an area marked by total crap, this is a slight if smigin above the rest offering some unique if not just better dishes for a def decent if not valued price, and the girl or girls who usually work behind the counter after school are their, some pretty decent eye candy for all you honrny ol asian luvn bastards out their, if you can stand the ghetto crown that may most likely be hovering around more so than eagle city across the street with an equally kinda hot lil asian tween. yea i got one or two things on my mind too, so what, like you don't either, you hipster fucks!?

The shrimp dishes have real, large-sized shrimp--AWESOME and cheap. Everything tastes fresh; best local Chinese take-out I've ever lived by.

-Very- average. Avoid the egg rolls. Order from "Taste of China" on Myrtle. Now that's GOOD chinese!

the special dumplings are some of the best you can find for the price ($6 I think..) they are steamed and have real big pieces of shrimp in them, along with chicken. even though I had always stuck with these, i finally branched out into the wontons, which are equally as good when hot. their egg rolls, sesame chickent etc. are standard fare. go with the dumplings. this is my go to when i don't feel like cooking, and even though it looks like a dump, the food almost tastes healthy (if thats possible...)

Happy Chinese is a solid NYC Chinese takeout place. I grew up in New York, eating New York Chinese food. Never fancy, but always pretty good. It's been hard for me to move out to Brooklyn where, for some reason, it's been hard to find Chinese takeout that can measure up. I got lo mein and an egg roll and snarfed both down on the train (on the way to see Annie Hall; do I get extra street cred for that?). The egg roll was meh but the lo mein, to my surprise and delight, was better than average. It had lots of veggies in it and a sauce that was flavorful and just the right amount of greasy. While I was waiting around for my noodles I got to see the chef in action and was struck by the fact that what seemed to be going on in the kitchen was...actual cooking. With ingredients and stuff. (Caveat: if you order fried anything you're on your own, but you know that.) So in conclusion Happy Happy has a) real food b) with flavor c) that is good enough for a native New Yorker's discriminating palate.

If you're looking for a really quick meal, this is a place that will make you 'happy happy.' I came home late one night and since their location is right off the subway stop, I took that as a sign! I placed my order and within about 6 minutes, I was walking away with my dinner. The food was ok, nothing too special, but I would definitely come back here for another quick dinner.

Happy happy? More like soggy soggy. The flavor is there, but the consistency leaves much to be desired. And MAYBE this is due to having it delivered, but forgive if I crave a little more by way of ambiance. But I guess you can't be too hypercritical of an average chinese takeout spot. I am, however, all about second chances. So, here goes nothing...

Horrible place, really bad service. I would give this place a zero. I Ordered food from here, they said that the delivery will me made in 20 mins after 30 mins they called me saying the food I ordered was not available.

My Kung Pao chicken had a beetle in it. Never again.

This chinese food is the only one close to my job and i occasionally get the lunch special. The rice is pretty good but the chicken is good somedays and other days its just like "what is this". Overall its a good spot to get lunch once in a while. I've tasted worse chinese food before.

It is just average Chinese but I love the hot and sour soup here and the wings are super cheap. They cook the soup to order which is nice. Good spot to stop in late night for greasy, bad for you food, when you have the drunken munchies. And a shout-out to the workers here - they are always busting their butts. I really like the guy who cooks the food here.

Great stand-by Chinese restaurant. They have brown rice and a good selection of tofu (called bean curd) dishes for vegetarians as well as the typical meaty dishes. The hot and sour soup is one of my favorites. Don't expect anything fancy, but for hungry nights when a little grease is OK... this is your place!

My go to Chinese take out spot since it's right next to the Clinton Washington subway stop that I get out of on the way home from work! The lady is nice and you can watch your food being prepared. Wonton soup was FILLED with wontons, and you can never go wrong with their steamed dumplings. I do believe it's cash only, but they have a no brand ATM in house (which I also use frequently).
